A studio built to help you move
Welcome to Rose Pilates! Your hometown Daniel Island Reformer and Tower studio. Rooted in Classical Pilates, present in modern movement, and unafraid of the contemporary. We strive to offer classes that are challenging, while also offering modifications to make classes accessible. We are focused on functional movement with intention and creating a community that encourages each other. We are, most of all, committed to having fun. All are welcome at Rose Pilates for an experience in movement. Our instructors are highly trained having completed certification programs from world renowned Pilates organizations including STOTT, Balanced Body, and Basi. We are here to help you find your strongest and best movement, it does not matter if you are the least or most experienced in the room. Come and try a class, we know you’ll become a regular soon.
Two classical disciplines, one studio. Most clients move between both.
A sliding carriage and adjustable springs create resistance you control. Reformer classes build full-body strength, mobility, and cardiovascular flow with very low impact on the joints.
A spring system paired with classical mat work. Tower classes emphasize alignment, breath, and a deeply engaged core — the foundation the Reformer builds on.
Hannah is the owner of Rose Pilates. She started practicing pilates over a decade ago and became seriously invested in her practice as recovery from her hypermobility disorder and various injuries associated with it. Pilates helps Hannah manage her chronic pain and stay strong. While living in London Hannah decided that she was ready to retire from her nonprofit work in Historic Preservation and train for her passion in Pilates. She became certified by STOTT. After moving to Charleston Hannah worked at various studios and found there wasn’t one that truly fit her style. And so she thought she would make her own, thus Rose Pilates was born. Hannah loves to teach with humor and sarcasm. The jokes sometimes repeat themselves but she likes to have a good time in class. Always challenging with a purpose and intention, Hannah focuses on form. She tries her best to accommodate all past injuries and differences in her clients bodies, having unique experience in how helpful that can be. Hannah wants nothing more than for you to be comfortable in her classes and leave feeling better than when you came in.
A small, dedicated team.
“Hannah's Pilates classes focus on form and strength. She ensures that her students build strength through a balance of movement, correct form, and resistance. If you're new to Pilates or more experienced, you'll find Hannah's classes engaging and worthwhile.”
“I started taking Hannah's classes about six months ago as a new member to the pilates community. She made me feel welcome and comfortable and encouraged me to slow down in my movements and focus on my breathing. I am happy to say that now, I take her advanced classes, and I have seen tremendous growth. I don't miss her classes ever! I am thrilled for her new studio and can't wait to be one of her locals!”
“I am new to Pilates and couldn't have asked for a better place to start! Hannah is an amazing instructor- patient, encouraging, and so knowledgeable. She makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable from the moment you walk in the door! She explains everything clearly, and takes the time to make sure you're doing each movement correctly. The atmosphere is friendly and fun. Great positive energy. It's no surprise that Hannah has a devoted advanced following. I highly recommend Hannah's classes!”
